I was a patient in the Adolescent Drug Rehabilitation Unit back in 1977 and 78, twice for around 60 days each time. It was located in a two story brick structure with a basement and porches on each end. everyone slept in rooms on the first floor, males in one wing, females the opposite. The adult drug unit was named Dartec, and We were not generally allowed to socialize with them.

I used to work there in the early 90's. It was run by DCF. During that time our clients were male and females between 14-18 years old. I did witness many painfull moments including suicide attempts and one hanging, this client did past that night in 1996.
